Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery (regular product orders are processed faster - see online cart) unless using faster shipping options for these Special Order Items. Insurance is required on these items because they are not replacable if lost in shipping. Contact Diane at 1-866-533-8218 after Noon US Mountain Time if you do not receive your order after 3 weeks. We will charge you only what it actually costs to ship or mail to you. There is no handling fee added for normal processing. Call for shipping quote. We do not have warehouse order processing for these items. These items must be hand packaged as we have time and will take longer to arrive, so please allow at least 3 weeks. RUSH orders are subject to a special handling fee.
All items should come with their color charts unless noted otherwise. I have done the best to note if I don't have them and priced them accordingly, but we cannot guarantee that all are correctly listed. I may be able to supply color images or obtain color chart copies, if needed or requested. The year each item was offered in the Tri-chem or Artex or Cameo catalog were not all available but estimates have been provided as a courtesy should you wish to look these up. If year is not correct, check catalogs in the adjacent years. All Artex items are from years 1981 or earlier but not listed precisely since the pictures and charts did not provide a clue as to the year they were produced. We will try to update these as we get the info from old Artex books.
The year is given only as a look-up reference...it is not necessarily indicative of the age of the item since many items continued to be manufactured long after the year of introduction or creation.
NOTES:
All items are sold as is. Almost all of the Decoron, linen, velvet,
and suede items are perfect and/or have been washed, but some items may have
slight soiling or dust from being stored over the years by other people. This
rarely effects the paint-ability of these offered items. Most items can
be hand washed and soaked overnight in Oxy-Clean and liquid detergent. Use cool
water, rinse in clear cool running water, and lay flat on a towel to dry. Iron
on reverse (no steam) when dry...try not to overheat Decoron. If adding Oxy-Clean,
dissolve it well in a cup of hot water before adding it to the wash water. NEVER
add household bleach or chlorine products to older Decoron items since this
may turn them yellow and hard. ALWAYS hand wash Duo-tone Decoron items separately
(or by color) and do NOT soak or bleach them. Wash Velvets and Suedes
separately also by color. Any stains can be treated as recommended at:

STORING
YOUR VINTAGE ITEMS:
- Always store like items together and optionally, you can place plain paper
in between items.
- Store transfers separately from paintable (pre-printed) items and make sure their separator paper keeps the actual ink from touching the next transfer.
- Lay all items flat as possible withOUT folding or rolling for best results. To do this, I use clean, fullsize (54-58 quart) plastic storage crates and lay items in unfolded starting with the largest items first. For large items that are too long to lay flat in the bottom, just lay them widthwise into the crate (instead of lengthwise) so their ends wrap up the sides of the crate and stay unfolded. As you lay the next items in, they will hold the sides up automatically. Keep all folds smoothed out as you fill the crate. Place smaller items in last, if any, and replace top (lid). This will keep your items from getting any creases and they will be protected from dirt/dust, water, and rodents. They will also be much easier to go through later to find specific items and any existing creases will be diminished.
- I place an unused dryer sheet into each crate to discourage dust attraction from static and I like to place silicone anti-moisture packets in that I have saved from purchasing other items for my home. That helps hold down mildew and smells. Dryer sheets that have fragrances also sweeten and deodorize. This is how I have stored ALL of the items listed here. And I have washed and ironed many items as needed. These items are ready to be painted.
- The ONLY time these items should be rolled is to prepare them for shipment. We do this by wrapping items around the OUTside of a cardboard roll and secure with a flat 1/4 inch wide rubber band or secured the rolled item with a plain piece of paper (or the color chart) tightly taped around the item which is the preferred way to do it. They can then be placed into a larger tube for mailing or placed into a mailing box.
I save the cardboard rolls from Christmas wrapping paper to serve as the inner tubes. They can be cut to size, if needed. Handy sizes are 14 inch, 20 inch, and 26 inch lengths since many pre-printed items are overcut from the actual finished and trimmed size. The 14 inch and 20 inch lengths are the handiest since there are not many items that come in the 24x36 inch finished sizes. The 14 inch ones can be used to roll 12x18 inch pictures for mailing and the 20 inch ones can be used for 22x17 inch transfers AND 18x24 inch pictures. I cut most rolls to 20 inch since I use more of those. PLEASE NOTE: Items should NOT be stored on the rolls because the rubber bands and tape can discolor the items with time. Instruct your recipients to store them flat as explained above.
NOTE:
ALWAYS REMOVE ANY STAPLES BEFORE WASHING OR STORING BECAUSE THEY WILL
RUST WITH TIME AND LEAVE STAINS.
